4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. KJV

Before we recite our meditation on today's verse, let's think, brothers and sisters, if you were in trouble and in danger, but you could ask the LORD God for "one thing" right now, what would you ask for? Let's open the Bible to the Old Testament Psalm 27, verse 4. Here we see that the psalmist David was attacked by his enemies and even his life was in danger, and what he sought from God was not a solution to his current problem, but to be with God and to worship and know Him further. We too can be like David in the poem today, with the light of God's Word and the Holy Spirit, and be strengthened in our faith by our sufferings. Pray that the Lord will give us courageous and strong hearts to seek His face and "find favor with the LORD". (translation from DeepL.com/translator)
